Garage Pad

Peter and I are planning on putting in a garage pad this spring. It is turning out to be a little more expensive than we thought, unfortunately. We were hoping to spend around $3500 for a 24x24ft pad. We have changed our minds and have decided to have the pad span the whole width of the yard. So it would be a 34x24ft pad. It is estimated that it would cost $7000. Ugh. That is all of our savings. I mean thank goodness that we have a renter in our basement and so we will that bit of extra cash coming in. But I am going to Disney World in September with my mom and I want to save up some money for that. It is an expensive world I tell yah! :{

Happy Easter to everyone. Because I am on WW, I haven’t had a lot of chocolate. And that’s okay because I really don’t need it anyway. I did have a peanut butter egg today and we had a delicious Easter dinner last night. :razz: I mean what is the point of being on WW, as opposed to any other stricter diet, if I am not allowed to treat myself once in a while.

I leave you with an adorable picture of a slightly overweight “Puss In Boots” from the upcoming Shrek Forever After

    $7000!! Ouch. Pardon my ignorance of owning a house, but what are garage pads for anyway?

    I can’t wait for Shrek Forever After to come out! :D

    I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather :sad:

    That’s quite a lot of money to spend, but I’m guessing it will be an investment and increase the value of your house as well? It’s better to spend the money on a garage pad than shoes or something, lol :upsidedown: I think I’d slightly panic about using my savings no matter what I would spend them on, but that’s just because I’m terrified of not having enough money in case something happens :blank:

    Yes it is indeed an expensive world we live in. That’s for sure. Good to hear that you guys have people who rent your basement though, that helps:)

    Even though you’re on WW you should definitely be able to treat yourself every once in a while. There’s nothing wrong with that:)

    I don’t know if I’ll be watching the next Shrek movie. I didn’t really like the third one. Not saying that that is a good excuse though, but I don’t know. We’ll see what happens:)
