Two Sizes Down

So I went and bought a new pair of work pants the other day. I have been size 18 for the last few years (yuck ) But since I have been losing weight, I finally decided that I just could not wear that size anymore. They are just too big. So I went into Wal-Mart and picked up a size 16. I went to try them on and realized that they were also too big! So I tried on a size 14 and they fit, almost perfectly. They are a little big around the waist, but unfortunatley, I have a huge bum/thighs, and they fit right around those areas, so I got them. I don’t think that I am quite at a 12 yet. But it is soon to come in my future! I don’t even remember being a size 12. I think I went from kids XL to a woman’s size 14. Ack. I don’t even want to think about being in a single digit size. Even after losing the weight that I have lost, I still don’t think it is possible. Who knows though. I will just keep celebrating my victories and be happy with what I have accomplished 😛

When I started my diet in January, I honestly didn’t think that I would make it this far. I thought that I would have given up by now. But there was something that just made me keep going. And now look at me, I’m 37.4 lbs lighter! I get weighed in tomorrow and so I have probably lost a couple more pounds from that! WHOO.

EDIT: I am down 42 lbs as of Tuesday!! YES

Speaking of weight loss, I stumbled upon Roni’s food blog. It is awesome. It has such amazing recipes. Plus, she even has videos of her making things. I love it because it’s like watching a cooking show, only more entertaining because her 4 year old son likes to help. Anyway, I spent hours reading about her weight loss story and it has just given me tons of motivation! So check out her site because there are lots of things to read and explore.

In high school I was a size 2, and now I’m between an 8 and a 10, and I feel SOOO icky all the time. 🙁 But I’m just NOT motivated.

I’m glad you’re doing so well! 🙂 I’d love to lose 20lbs or so.

YAY! Isn’t is just a great feeling when you need to go down sizes? 😀 I’ve gone from 16 to 10-12 in pant sizes, and from 14 to 8 in tops and such, so I’m happy! It sounds like we have the same “problem”: big hips/thighs/bum that makes it difficult to find pants that fit both there and around the waist, lol! Keep it up!

Congratulations! It’s such a great feeling to slip in to a smaller size, isn’t it?

I’d like to lose about 15 pounds before August, when I attend my cousins wedding. I’ve lost 7.3 pounds since April 12th, so I’m well on my way. 🙂
