3D Crazy
Why are all the new movies that are being released coming out in 3D?! I know it’s the “latest” thing, but I am getting so sick of it. I mean 3D has been around for a long time..but only now are they trying to convert every single movie! Ugh.
I think it’s okay for animated movies, but real person movies…it is so unnecessary. Plus, they charge you more to get into the damn movie! WTH.
As you may have guessed, obviously I am not a fan of 3D. It makes me nauseous and so I am unable to watch them. A lot of the theatres around here only provide the 3D version of the movie when it is first released, therefore I have to wait even longer to see the movie. It makes me so upset.
Is it really that popular? Do people really like 3D that much?! I can see it really striking children’s interests…but I don’t know about adults. I liked when they kept 3D in the IMAX. Now they have Digital/Reel 3D and so it can be shown on any type of screen as long as you have the proper glasses.
Heck, they even have 3D Televisions that people can buy and have in their home!!! Many sports channels, TV shows and even video games are trying to make more and more 3D friendly productions. I love the advancement of technology, but I think it is getting ridiculous. The next thing you know is the iPhone is going to have 3D technology or something stupid like that
What do you all think of this 3D craziness that is barging into our world?!
My name is Carolynne. I am 24 years old, I live in Calgary and I am an extrememly PROUD Canadian! I am married to the love of my life, Peter. My favourite thing to do is watch movies and cross stitch. I also enjoy listening to country music. My favourite place in the world is Disneyland!

I think studios see 3D as a huge selling point. Like, people will see a movie they wouldn’t ordinarily see just because its in 3D. This may have been true when 3D was a new technology; however, nowadays when every single movie seems to be made in 3D that really isn’t the case anymore.
I don’t mind 3D when it’s for animations or big action movies that actually warrant it but for others I think it’s just a great way for them to make money and little else.
If they’re going to make 3D movies they should at least make sure customers can see the non 3D version with the same release date if they wish, my mother for example can’t focuss to watch 3D movies at all. There also not covered in Orange Wednesdays 2 for 1 deal – boo.
I”m not too crazy about 3D either. I’m also not into the whole “HD” craze – I get that it looks better, but I know some people who refuse to watch a movie unless it’s in HD or 3D. It’s just to make more money (some theaters charge nearly double for 3D!), and a lot of people are just getting sucked into the craze.
Yeah I’m not crazy about 3D either, usually it gives me a headache (depending on the type of 3D technology used).
I do have to say, though, that Toy Store 3D was pretty awesome. I saw it in IMAX.
