Back To Routine
Well, I am back from my camping trip. A great time was had by all! We had pretty good weather all around. Although we did have a few days of rain…but I still managed to get some sun in. I have 3x as many freckles as I did before the trip
There is even a tiny little “tan line” on my arm where my watch was. This is huge as I never tan…ever! I was sure to wear lots of 50 SPF sunscreen and so I didn’t burn at all! As I said before, I just got more freckles. Whoo.
While I was away, I basically threw my diet out the window. I mean I didn’t go completely overboard, but I also didn’t really follow the WW plan. I didn’t have my necessary amount of fruits/vegetables a day and I didn’t get exercise in everyday either. Oh well. I only gained 2.6lbs total. And I have already lost 1.8lbs of that since I have been back! I am well on my way to losing the rest too. It was important for me to have fun and eat goodies while I was away, but equally as important to get back on the WW wagon as soon as I got home. I am determined to be at 145lbs by Tuesday. That is my goal! I am currently at 147lbs…so 2 pounds hopefully won’t be too hard!
Gaining weight was completely worth it though because we went to Mcdonalds twice and Dairy Queen twice! YUMMY! Plus, I had BBQ Ribs, which I haven’t had since 2009! YES. I also got to eat some ketchup potato chips, coke bottle candy and other good junk food. I don’t regret my choices at all. Mwhaha.
While away, I finished one of my cross stitching projects that I started in November. It feels good to have it done. It is going to be a Christmas present for my in-laws. I sure hope they like it. This is what it looks like:
I think it is a perfect design for them because they live in Canada so the mountains are appropriate for that. But they also bought a house in Florida last year and so the Eagle is appropriate for that. And you can’t deny that it’s a very pretty design
Oh and bad news, I didn’t find my favourite White Fudge Oreos
They must only come out around Christmas time…
I can’t wait for my next vacation coming at the end of September to….DISNEYWORLD!!!
My name is Carolynne. I am 24 years old, I live in Calgary and I am an extrememly PROUD Canadian! I am married to the love of my life, Peter. My favourite thing to do is watch movies and cross stitch. I also enjoy listening to country music. My favourite place in the world is Disneyland!

Sounds like you had a blast! Here in West Virginia the white fudge Oreos come out during the holiday season as well. It’s probably a good thing too cause I would be craving them all the time!
Wow, that’s a great design, so much detail! How much time did it take to finish it? (I see you started in November, but I guess you haven’t worked on it 24 hours every day
) I also gained weight on my vacation, but like you said, it was totally worth it when I had some yummy dinners, ice creams and chocolates. I have to say it felt great to get back on track, though
I’m glad to hear that you all had such a great time! Don’t worry at all about the weight – 2 pounds is nothing! Good luck with reaching your goal. And, I’m so jealous of you going to Disney World! I’ve wanted to go for years.
First of all, I’d like to say; I’m a very proud Canadian too
I have the flag on my front door (& my house is red & white, but i didnt plan it that way
)
now for the comment on your post;
Its good to hear that you had a good time on your camping trip! I love camping…minus the mosquitoes.
I have a really hard sticking to a diet. I eat healthy, but I also eat junkfood, so it doesnt work
I love that picture! It reminds me of where I live. Theres a lake & mountains (part of the reason Canada rocks!) I’ve never done cross stitching, but it sounds fun
