I am currently banana crazy. I make sure that I have at least one banana a day, usually at breakfast. I get a little upset if I don’t have a banana in the morning. It’s a little scary how crazy I am But then I find that one of the most delicious and healthy snacks that I indulge in while being on WW is a banana with peanut butter at night! I am currently obsessed. And it’s not an unhealthy snack either. PB has so much protein and I get a fruit in with the banana. Anyway, the reason I am writing all this is because for the past 2 days, all 4 grocery stores that are around my house have had only GREEN bananas! It’s horrible. And let me tell you that I am very picky about my bananas. I won’t eat them if they are green. I won’t eat them if they are black. They have to be perfect. A little bit of green near the stem and the rest of the banana has to be a nice golden yellow. We bought some organic bananas yesterday (which were almost the perfect Carolynne colour) but they were 40 cents more a pound. They were out today when I went to look. UGH! Why can’t there be a surplus of perfect bananas! I am in banana withdrawal. *ahem* I am crazy, I know.
When I was shopping today I noticed that the stores are putting out their Halloween candy already! I suppose it’s only two months away….but still I don’t know how I will do with all that candy around. I mean it’s kind of perfect for me actually…because they are all small individual bags. So instead of buying a big bag of fuzzy peaches and eating the whole damn bag, I can buy a bag of individual packages and only let myself have one at a time. I am going to look into the WW points values for my favourite candies and see what I might be able to buy and what I definitely shouldn’t!!
Speaking of WW, I am 94% done with my weight loss. I am almost at my goal. I only have 4.2lbs left to go. When I started in January, I never ever thought I would get this far. I thought for sure I would give up like I do every time I try to diet. But for some reason, I was really motivated and committed this time. See, it really shows that if you stick to something and your mind is in it, it really works!! And WW shows you how to eat properly while allowing you to indulge in your favourite foods every now and then. For example, I had Mcdonalds for supper tonight and it was so yummy!!!
