I thought that I would follow in a lot of other blogger’s footsteps and post my goals/resolutions for 2011. These are things that I hope to accomplish sometime during the upcoming year:
Get to my goal weight and get Lifetime Membership at WW: In 2010, I started weight watchers and lost 70.8lbs. All I have left to lose is 2lbs and I will be at my goal. I will then complete 6 weeks of maintenance and I will be awarded my Lifetime Membership with WW.
Run a half-marathon: My uncle is a multi-marathon runner and he has been bugging me to train for a half-marathon. He is convinced that I can do it. As I only started running in 2010, I am still a little nervous about running long distances. The furthest I have ever run in one go is about 10km and a half-marathon is just over 21kms. But I definitely want to start training and maybe I will be able to run, with my uncle, in one of Calgary’s annual half-marathons in July.
Blog more: I hope to blog at least once a week, hopefully more like 2-3 times a week. Everyday, I find myself doing or seeing something and thinking, “I should blog about this,” but I never end up posting. I want to change that this year! I also hope to expand my vocabulary
Floss everyday: Everytime I go to the dentist, I get in “trouble” for not flossing. I know I should be doing it everyday, but I never really do. So I hope to change that and floss at least once a day to fight the plaque!
Make a new recipe every week: I have so many cookbooks and so many bookmarked recipes that I want to try. So I hope to make at least one new recipe a week. Of course, I will try to make more, but one is the minimum.
Try eggplant: A random goal, I know. But I have always wanted to try eggplant. I heard that it is very nutritious and am looking forward to diving into this goal. Does anyone have any recipes to share that use eggplant?
