Left Alone

I have been left by my husband. But only for the next 6 days. He has gone on a camping trip with his friends. His best man, from our wedding, is getting married in Mexico in February. He wanted to go camping for the bachelor party and since this time of year is perfect, they are doing it early.

I know it’s silly, but I am really sad that he has left me here alone. It’s the first time he’s left me at home and gone away. I have left him at home a dozen times and gone on vacation with my mom. Peter isn’t a traveller and so I don’t ever let that stop me. But I have to say that it is completely different being the one who is left at home. It’s never happened before. I am glad that we have people living in our basement, or else I might be sleeping over at my mom’s house. LOL

I will try and keep myself busy with school, work, watching movies and cross stitching. The time will fly by so fast, I hope. It’s just that you grow so accustomed to seeing someone every day and so it will be different around the house.

EDIT: I came home from school today to see love notes all over the house. Before he left, he must have wrote them all!  What a guy. I love him so much!!

Gosh, I hate it when my husband isn’t around. Hate hate hate it. Time generally passes quickly since I make use of the downtime, but I’d still rather have him around.

That’s adorable, the love notes! Louie left me a post-it note once on my computer saying “I LOVE YOU!” when he left for work (before I got my job). It was really sweet. šŸ™‚

I’m the same way. I go away all the time for a weekend to visit my parents, but if he’s gone one night…
