My third full installment of WordPress on a website has proven to be a success! I didn’t have any trouble at all and it took a mere hour and a half to make and install the theme. YAY! I am very proud at how much I have learned in the past year. I think it was easier because this website does not use the blog feature, so I didn’t have to deal with styling the comments and individual posts. :geek: The website is for the client’s site I mentioned on my previous post. Again, when it is ready, I will post the link here.

Peter and I booked our flights to Mexico last week. We are attending a wedding in February and so we will be staying at an ll inclusive resort, the Riu Palace in Cabo San Lucas. It will be very exciting as it will be both of our first all inclusive things. It will be Peter’s first commercial plane flight as well. He has been on smaller planes, when we were both in Air Cadets, so I don’t think a commercial jet will affect him any differently. I just hope he doesn’t get air sick xP Ah. I’m excited, but I still have a few months to save up and get excited.

I went shopping for new clothes for my new job (that starts on Monday!!). I was a little anxious about it because I didn’t want to spend $300+ on a new “business casual to casual” wardrobe. I mean, I am supposed to be saving for Mexico right?! 😉 Anyway, I decided to hit up the thrift store first just to see what they had. Low and behold, SUCCESS! I found 6 blouses, 2 work out shirts, a pair of capris, a skirt and 4 dresses. I only paid $115. Yes. Everything I bought is in great condition. I have to admit that it’s so much more fun to shop now that I am a size 6-8. There are many more options than when I was a size 18  Yay for weight loss and shopping. So I look forward to starting my new job on Monday, just to show off my “new to me” clothes.

Random bit of information: I was running along a pedestrian pathway in Fish Creek Park yesterday when I heard a weird noise behind me. I look and there is a vehicle driving along the pathway behind me. I run off to the side of the pathway and let her pass me. She apologized as she drove by. She was obviously VERY lost. Cars are definitely not allowed in fish creek park. If the police had been there, she would have been ticketed. I mean, I know she didn’t want to be on the pathway, at least I hope, but still, no excuses. After that I saw two policemen on horseback just riding through my neighborhood. It was very cool. It was probably the same guy I have seen before. Haha. So needless to say, it was an interesting run 😀

Shopping at thirft stores has been more lucrative with every size I drop. Usually I could only find ugly fat people clothes that would fit (because I was a really fat person) but now that I can fit into size ten it’s a lot easier to leave with heaps of beautiful clothes. I can’t wait until I can fit into size 6-8, hopefully soon.

Can’t wait to hear about your new job. 🙂

I never tried shopping at a thrift store. I should. Before I started my job I went to Macy’s. I swear everything I buy there falls apart after six months. Isn’t it supposed to be all quality stuff? Never have that problem at Old Navy.

Oh boy I’m glad you weren’t hit by the car in the park!!
And congrats on the good finds – I kinda quit looking because I never find anything. Um, er, like the same problem you had at size 18 lol only worse… 😛 Congratulations on the weight loss, too, by the way!

Thrift stores can be a blessing  It’s easier to shop there when you are a certain size though, I definitely agree.

Wow, that lady in her car  How lost can you get? 😛

    How’s your new job? 😀
