Canadian Goodies
Posted on Tuesday July 3, 2012
I am happy to say that I have furthered my Canadian patriotism a little more this year. Or at least increased my collection of “Canada Stuff“. As Canada’s 145th birthday passed us by on July 1st, I had been scouring the stores throughout June for anything I could get my hands on that had a maple leaf or Canadian flag on it.
The best item I found this year has definitely got to be the iPad case. It is such a unique little trinket for my new-to-me iPad. Ever since my mom gave me her old iPad in March, I have been a little obsessed with it. It is my best friend at the gym where I watch movies and read ebooks. I still use my iPhone, but I love the bigger screen of the iPad. Now I can carry a little Canadian pride with me wherever I take my iPad.
I am also really pleased with the Canadian luggage. Although, I already own Canadian luggage that is the old heavy style luggage. It’s black with little red maple leaves on it. It’s nice, but I do love the new luggage so much more as it is more my style. It is vibrant and loud and totally me. Plus, it’s features the new light-weight luggage design that has 4 wheels on the bottom for easy movement. I look forward to traveling to Florida in November toting my gorgeous new luggage.
I was much more strict this year with my purchases. I was very conscious about what I was spending my money on. Normally I come away from Canada Day shopping with so many new clothes and random trinkets that never get used. I have 2 closets over flowing with Canada themed clothing and so I only bought a few clothing items that I really loved. As for the trinkets, I didn’t bother buying things I knew would just sit around. I have so much stuff and so little space, I really didn’t need to add more clutter. I am happy with my small, but relatively awesome finds.

Haha, the iPad case is really cute with the “eh!” on it! Is there some special meaning behind the “eh!”? And… is that a frying pan?
Must be easy being patriotic as a Canadian – you have one of the prettiest flags/symbols in the world.
Great haul! I love all your Canadian goodies. I love me Canada stuff too, but my collection is nowhere near as massive as yours.
Glad to hear that you have been going to the gym again.
