Meal Plan Mondays – Week 11

I totally messed up last week’s meal plan. Not only did we not follow it completely, I messed up and forgot that we were having Thanksgiving dinner on the Sunday. DUH! How could I forget?! Anyway, the meal plan was kind of thrown out the window last week. I didn’t feel like most of the food that I had planned and so there was a lot of take out last week. Ugh, the weigh in results at Weight Watchers will not be good tomorrow.

This week I am going to try and make only things that I have in the fridge or freezer. Plus, I have some recipes from last week that I still want to make.

MondayBaked Portobello Parmesan
Tuesday – Cheat night at McDonalds
Wednesday – Homemade Pizza or 44th Street Ribs (can’t decide!!)
ThursdayBlackened Chicken
Friday – Dinner at a friend’s house
Saturday44th Street Beef Pot Roast
Sunday – Cabbage Rolls

I have been wanting to do meal plans since we’ve moved/started over. Where do you find the recipes/get the inspiration to do the menu plans? I had no idea where to start and it all seems so overwhelming.

It can be a little overwhelming sometimes coming up with new ideas each week. I always try to think about what I have in the freezer and if I have seen any new recipes lately. I have a TON of cooking websites in my RSS Feed Reader that post new recipes everyday and so I get most of my ideas from there. Meal planning is great. I totally recommend it. It is great to save money by only going to the store once (or twice if need be). Also, if you are trying to stay healthy, it’s easier so as not to go off and get take out all the time. But like I said in this post, it sometimes fails LOL. Anyway, I hope you start!

Stopping by for a blog visit from Organizing Junkie’s Menu Plan Monday today!
I recently discovered Coronation Street. And love it! I wish they would bring it back to the USA!
I love this time of year when the temps have cooled down to something liveable in Las Vegas!
When I opened our coat closet I didn’t get hit with a blast of heat today. Now that’s much better.
I’ll be on the lookout for soup recipes to add to my recipe file box
