Vacation Planning

I created my itinerary for Disney World/Florida in November. It is not set in stone or anything, but I just wanted to be prepared about what parks we should try and visit on what days. There are only 2 nights that Mickey’s Christmas Party is on that we are there and so that kind of made me make my decision for Magic Kingdom. I would have liked to visit MK in the daylight before we went for the party at night, but it doesn’t really matter. We can go another one of the days following and still enjoy the park then too!

I have looked at certain “crowd calendars” around the web to see which parks are supposedly busiest on what days. I was shocked to find out that the American Thanksgiving is the week we are there. I thought I had planned so carefully so that we missed that week. I was somehow under the impression that their Thanksgiving was the last week in November. Well apparently not this year, it’s the second last week. At least we will be leaving on the Thursday of their holiday so we won’t be there for the long weekend. Ugh. All the crowd calendars I have seen say that the Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest, apart from Christmas. Damn. Oh well, it will still be fun and so what if we have to wait in line. It’s a theme park! There are lines and crowds and noise. At least I will finally be able to share one of my favourite places in the world with the love of my life!!

I am getting so excited. It is exactly one month today until we leave for Florida. We have been planning this trip since February and it is arriving so quickly. It will be over in the blink of an eye. I am already planning my next trip as well. I am going to go to Las Vegas in January with my friends. We are only going for 4 days of shopping (and probably a little gambling) so it won’t be a super long trip. Maybe I will come back with some new clothes and some lucky winning money!! πŸ˜€

I had hoped to be back at my goal weight by the time we go away in November, but I don’t think that will happen. It will be very hard to lose 15lbs in one month. Somehow, it seemed so easy to put on. LOL. Why is life like that sometimes?! That’s okay, I’m on the right track nowadays and that is what matters. I have been running more and more and the gym doesn’t seem like such a chore. I’m enjoying my life and that’s the way it should be.

I bet you’re going to have a great time even if there are more people there than you expected. I think the clue is to just enjoy everything and not get annoyed by small things πŸ˜€ I hope your trip will be awesome! πŸ˜€

Damn, that’s unlucky. Good you’re leaving before the long weekend though. Probably a madhouse by then. Do take advantage of fast pass. Make sure you get one the minute you get to the park for the ride you want to do most. Make sure you check your fastpass ticket for the time when you can get a second one because it is possible to hold more than one at a time if your ride time is late enough. It’s not uncommon for them to run out of fastpasses for toy story mania first thing in the morning even during non busy times, so don’t get upset if they do. We never had a problem with any other ride I don’t think.

Oh, wow! Sorry to hear about that! Well, I think the best is to make the most out of your experiences regardless of the inconveniences and whatnot. And like you’ve said, it is a theme park and I promise you it’ll be tons of fun!

I have been to Disney World as well, but it was a long time ago, so as much as I’d like to give you suggestions and comments about the rides etc, I couldn’t. πŸ™
    Sorry about that….

And, YEAH! Go out there and make the MOST with the love of your life, Carolynne!! <3
