NaBloPoMo: Day 1
I decided I wanted to try my hand at the NaBloPoMo thing. I don’t really like many of the prompts they came up with, so I’m just going to be writing about random stuff every day. That is if I decide to stick with it. As I posted a couple weeks ago, I like to blog when I want and about what I want, but I am going to possibly change my mind for this month. There are no guarantees though. It might prove to be too difficult as I will be away in Florida for 10 days this month. I will try to prepare some blog posts ahead of time and schedule them. However, this blogging every day for a month thing might just be too much. Who knows! It’s November 1st and I’m giving it a try.
So last night was Halloween and unfortunately, it was freezing here in Calgary. I felt so bad for all the little kids who were trick or treating. They were bundled up in their winter coats and snow suits, but they still seemed to have a good time. We had 40 kids come to our door, which is apparently above the average in Calgary. Last year we had 58 kids, but it was a warmer Halloween. At least I still got to dress up and hand out candy. Peter and I watched two of my Halloween favourites, the Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus, while we were giving out candy. Despite giving huge handfuls of candy to every kid, we still have tons of candy left over. Ugh. I ate my fair share today. I think I might just put it all into a plastic bag and ask Peter to hide it in his room. He can eat it and not gain weight, but I sure can’t. It is just bad news for me.
