NaBloPoMo: Day 8
Google docs (now called Google drive, I think) is such a cool online tool to use. You can keep spreadsheets, word documents and so much more online to be able to access them from anywhere. The best part is that Google docs is completely free.
For the past 3 years, my family has used docs to keep our Christmas lists. With 8 of us, it is hard to get Christmas lists sent out to everyone. Plus, it always occurs that people think of things to add to their list after they have been sent out. Using docs, everyone can add and edit the list whenever they like. It always stays updated and everyone can see all the lists all in one place. And if you think about it, we save so much paper without the need to print 8 copies of 8 lists!!
I was reading a blog the other day where they use Google docs for their grocery list. This family can add things to the list from wherever they are, whenever they think of something. That way if they are on their way home from work, they can see if their spouse needs anything before they come home. I LOVE this idea. I am thinking of starting this up with Peter and I. Although I do most of the grocery shopping myself, it might be nice for Peter to help me out with picking things up once in a while. The only hard part about this idea, is getting Peter to remember to check the list before he comes home. That might be a difficult task lol.
