NaBloPoMo: Day 15
We started out today by going to my favourite pancake restaurant, IHOP. I tried something new and old together. I had my trusted delicious, cinn-a-stack pancakes with a new sort of scrambler thing. It had cubed hash browns, ham, mushrooms, cheese and eggs. It was amazing with a little ketchup and the best part was that it was only $6.99!
After breakfast we decided to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was mainly a lot of shows and waiting around for them to start. As soon as we got there, we went and got a fast pass for the Toy Story midway mania ride. As Mom and I didn’t get to go on the ride when we were there in 2010, I really didn’t want to miss it this time. It was a fun ride, but I’m glad we didn’t wait the 70 minutes in the normal line.
After reading this article about butterfinger cupcakes, I totally wanted to try one. I will admit that might have been a bad idea. I honestly didn’t like the cupcake. I had a few bites and that was it. It was just way too sweet. Plus it had a huge amount of fake cream topping that didn’t taste anything like icing. It was kind of gross. I definitely would have preferred normal icing. On the upside, Peter had a strawberry parfait and loved it. He even wanted to buy a second one 🙂
Our favourite shows were the Indiana Jones stunt show and the vehicle stunt show. They were so entertaining and even nail biting at some points.
We ended the day at the park in Mickey’s dreams at the Disney classic show, Fantasmic. What a wonderful show! It was so great to see all our favourite characters in place. The magical part is how they show video using water fanned up as a screen. It’s pretty freaking neat.
It must be a good day when I get to eat at two of my favourite restaurants in the same day. We went to T.G.I. Friday’s for supper. Both Peter and I had really excellent meals and I got to get the triple berry mojito shaker drink. Mmmmm!
Tomorrow we will be entering the village of Hogsmeade and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter :geek:
