Sickness

Peter and I have both come down with colds. We are using up all the kleenexes in our house. Our noses are raw and our sinuses are sore. Neocitrin has become our best friend right before bed. Ugh. The least I can say is thank goodness it’s not the flu. That would be 100x worse in my opinion. I cannot handle the throwing up thing.

It’s odd that we are actually sick together. Normally one of us gets sick and then a few days later, the other one gets sick. Nope, this one hit us both at the same time. Stupid virus. We are taking lots of vitamin C and D to try and overcome this cold.

As this is my first “official” week back at weight watchers, the cold is really getting in my way. When I’m sick I do not want to be at the gym. I also want to eat comfort foods such as bread and meat instead of healthy foods like salad and veggies. Ah well. We also have two huge meals this weekend and the weigh in results will probably be up anyway. So much for my first week. Hopefully I will be back to full health next week and I can do this thing properly.

    Sorry to hear that you’re both sick! I hope you guys get better soon. I’ve been using up tissues like crazy too, though it’s because my allergies are bad right now. It seems like a lot of people have either been sick or suffering from allergies lately =/

    haha, I know what you mean about the comfort foods when feeling bad. I’ve been trying to eat healthy lately too, and sometimes I just want to treat myself to something totally unhealthy. Good luck with getting back on track!

    Feel better!!

    The best comfort food when sick is chicken noodle soup, I find. I know it’s a cliche, but you have the yummy goodness from the chicken broth and veggies, and then the comfort of noodles in the soup. Yum!

    Ugh, that doesn’t sound very pleasant at all. Especially that you’re both sick 🙁 I hope you get better soon!
    And when you’re sick you’re sick and should focus on curing yourself, don’t feel bad about it – the gym will be waiting for you when you get well 🙂

    Luckily I haven’t been sick at all this winter… Knock on wood :S

    Aww. Feel better soon 🙂 Both of you getting sick is just terrible.

    I think you’re entitled to spoil yourself a little when you’re sick. You have every right to gobble up sinfully yummy comfort foods. 🙂
