NaBloPoMo 2013: Day 10 – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It has occurred to me that Christmas is almost upon up again. I was at a friend’s house tonight and they mentioned that they had finished all of their Christmas shopping yesterday. Lucky ducks as I haven’t even started. Anyway, while driving home, I noticed quite a few houses took this weekend to put their Christmas lights up. It seems to me that it has really come up fast this year. It didn’t seem so far away before Halloween, but so far it has zoomed along.

My Aunt told me yesterday that she spent Friday evening wrapping presents! So not only has she bought them, she is all ready to put them under the tree. I am in shock. I haven’t even thought too much about Christmas. My family and I swore last year that we will not go overboard this year. Maybe 1 gift for each person from each person and that’s it. Perhaps once there are little ones running around we will make a bigger deal, but for now small is okay.

Plus, Peter and I have already received our gifts from both sets of our parents. My in-laws bought us the trip to Cape Coral, Florida (here) and my parents paid for our passes into the parks at Disney World and Universal (here). So we just need to find a good one or two gifts to give to them and my Grandma and we should be done. I am not going to stress out about it too much this year. Nice and simple is what I am looking for.

So bring it on Christmas! I will be ready no matter when you decide to come, I HOPE!

Oh wow, I haven’t even started to think about Christmas yet! That will have to wait until December 1st ;) It’s approaching really fast, though :O

I’m amazed that they’re done with Christmas shopping already! I haven’t started yet, but mainly because I’m stumped on what to get some people. I always feel like Christmas decorations start too early. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet!
