I’ve decided to start a new post series called Work In Progress Wednesday, more commonly known as WIP Wednesday. I will most likely post every week, unless I don’t really make any headway on my project. I wish that I could show other things rather than my one cross stitch, but it’s just how I work. I work on ONE project at a time and then move on once it is finished. I wish I knew how to knit or crochet as well, but I don’t. So this will be a WIP Cross Stitch Wednesday series.
I only started my current project about a month ago and it is going to be a LONG one. Both in regards to time and physical size. It is 3.5 feet long and just a little over a foot high. I am stitching over 20ct Aida, which means there are 20 little cross stitches per inch. It’s the smallest I’ve ever stitched and so far, I LOVE it!! I have come to learn about myself that I love cross stitching. Full stitches that cross each other. I don’t like 1/4 or 3/4 stitches and I loathe outlining/back stitching. This pattern I am working on is one that was created specially for me using a program called PC Stitch. It is ALL full cross stitches. I don’t have to dread doing any outlining at the end of the project and that fact makes me so happy!! As you all know, Stargate SG-1 is my favourite show and I became a little obsessed when we watched the series last year. It was a huge part of my life and I had to make a cross stitch for it.
So this is what my finished project will look like:
Here is my WIP so far! It is the bottom of Jack O’Neill’s legs (6th person from the left). So far I have finished 1 of 33 pages. Haha, again, it is going to take me many many years to finish this one!
