Christmas Tree

Here is this year’s tree!

Christmas tree 2014

My Mom and Grandma came over on the weekend to cuddle with Ezri, so I took the opportunity to decorate our Christmas tree. My parents had offered to give us their 7-foot pre-lit artificial tree because they have come to the age where they are snow birding and leaving a day or 2 after Christmas. They don’t want the hassle anymore of having to take down the tree before they go away for a month or more. Of course we accepted.

Unfortunately half the lights on the tree decided to stop working. My Dad spent almost 3 hours trying to find the problem, but with no success. My parents have offered to buy us a new tree that works, but I think I’ve decided to wait until they go on sale after Christmas.

In the meantime, I put up our little 3-foot artificial tree. It’s small, but it still does the trick of setting the Christmas mood. My parents also let me go “shopping” through their tree decorations. I was allowed to take whichever ones I want. Half of them don’t fit on the tree this year, but next year’s full sized tree will be awesome with them on it.

Next year will be even better because Ezri will be older and fascinated with the lights and decorations. It will be great to have the full sized tree then.

Speaking of Christmas, I’ve taken Ezri to meet Santa twice now. I was trying to get a good photo, but it’s so hard to catch her at the right moment. Oh well, they’re both cute! Anyhow, here is this year’s tree!

Aww. We decided Owen would not tolerate a Santa picture, maybe next year.
She’ll love the tree next year. Owen woke up in front of the tree the other day, I was in the other room and I hear “oooooh!” :D

That’s too bad half of the lights on the 7 ft tree weren’t working! The 3 ft tree is still pretty and the size is cute :) Ezri looks adorable with Santa!

The tree looks really pretty! We have a 4ft tree so I know what you mean by a small tree but your right it does the trick. It sucks that the 7ft’s lights were not working but your also right right after Christmas they will likely be discounted quite a bit. I really like the first picture of Ezri with Santa, they are both super cute though! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

What a cute little tree. I wish we had an artificial tree. We had an artificial pre-lit 8′ frasier fir that I loved, but the kids started asking for a real tree so we gave it to a family in need two years ago. With this being our third Christmas with a live tree I think it’s safe to say I’m done. I want a fake one again, so much less hassle.

Great Santa pictures! My kids won’t even go near the guy, and if they do they scream and cry.
