I was speaking with a friend today and she mentioned that she had visited my blog. I immediately felt guilty as I know I have been really bad at posting for the past year. Ever since Ezri came along, it just seems like I don’t have time to do anything. Despite being on maternity leave for a year, I was so busy. I found so many things to do and took on a whole assortment of hobbies. Now that I am back at work, it seems impossible to find time for myself. It’s nuts. I want to try to make more of an effort to get back into blogging because I really do enjoy it. Even if nobody comes to my site to read what I’ve written, that’s okay. It’s fun to just get it out.
I’m going to start the blog rolling today with a classic Christmas story…
I took Ezri to the market today to visit Santa Claus. He gathered the children together and read the night before Christmas. Ezri was captivated and seemed to enjoy the story. However, when it came time to visit Santa up close and personal, she was not impressed at all. Even before I handed her over, she was whining. Then she just cried and screamed in his arms. So I tried to hold her to calm her down, but she was still very upset. I have no idea why she reacted that way. She was just fine with all the characters in Disneyland, so I assumed she’d be okay with Santa. Nope, not so.
Here are the liquid gold shots we got of her today:
I am going to try her again with Santa at the mall next week. We are meeting a friend and her son and we are hoping to get a picture of the kids together with Santa. I really hope Ezri is in a better mood and is okay with Santa.
Ah well, I suppose a childhood isn’t a childhood without a screaming Santa photo. Boo.
I did manage to get a cute photo of her with some Christmas lights though!
