Our Christmas Tree

Peter and I decided to be wild and crazy this year and we purchased a full sized Christmas tree. We’ve always sported a small 2.5ft tree, but decided it was time to have a big one. We went the extra mile and spent money on one that has 40+ light options. It has 10 different colours, and many different lighting functions like flashing, fading, spazzing, solid and more. It came with a remote control and it’s fun to play with the lights. Ezri loves to grab the remote and press the buttons. I totally think she knows what to do because she presses it and looks up at the tree. So smart.

To top off the tree, we bought a few new decorations at the Disney Store. I could have spent way more money on decorations because there were so many that I wanted! I had to limit myself LOL. The Aladdin and Frozen ones sing too! So awesome. We also bought a tree topper! It’s Mickey and Minnie looking lovingly at each other on the top of the star. It lights up and is the perfect finish to a perfect tree!

We currently have the tree in a corner and it’s blocked off by the playpen. Ezri just wouldn’t leave it alone. Maybe next year she will be able to appreciate it a bit more and not pull on it and take the decorations off. It’s a learning thing.

What I need now is a tree skirt. I was eye balling a gorgeous one at the Disney store of Mickey and Minnie building a snow man, but I just couldn’t justify spending $80 on the skirt alone. I am going to keep my eyes open and hopefully find a really nice one.

It looks so nice! Christmas must be so exciting with a little one and I’m so jealous of your Disney ornaments! You can’t go wrong with Disney.

Your tree looks great! I love all the Disney ornaments – especially the Aladin one! I bet that your daughter will love that they sing, too! My mom had a couple of singing ornaments when I was a child, and I loved to press the buttons and listen to them. πŸ™‚

We recently just purchased a full sized tree this year, too. It was exciting putting it up for the first time!
