My Mom won tickets to see an advanced screening of an animated film called Ballerina (I guess it also goes by the title “Leap!”). She only won 2 tickets, but we thought we would try bringing the girls with us anyway. So this morning, we loaded the girls into the car and went off to the movies. There was no problem with the tickets and all 4 of us were able to see the movie.
This was Ezri’s second adventure out to the movie theatre. We went to see Finding Dory in June and that went quite well, but she was still fairly young. I was skeptical how she would be this time around as she is way more antsy and mobile. Her attention can’t be kept for so long. However, she did very well!! She sat in her seat for almost the whole movie. Around the last 20 minutes or so she got a bit antsy and eventually moved onto my Mom’s lap for some cuddles. But it doesn’t make me hesitate to take her to another movie sometime.
As for Jadzia, she did okay as well. She slept for about half the film and then was awake. I fed her a little bit and at times, she even watched the movie. At least her focus was on the screen temporarily. She whined very briefly and I was able to change her position so she didn’t disturb anyone around us too much. It was a kid’s movie so there were a to of young kids around anyway making noise. I wasn’t “ashamed” for bringing my baby out to the theatre.
The film itself was quite cute. It is set in the early 1900s and it’s about an orphan girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina and training at a prestigious Paris academy. It’s a feel good type of story for sure. I believ the movie comes out in April, but I could be wrong about the date. Keep an eye out for it as it’s a great family film.
It was a great adventure out today and I am so grateful that my Mom, the girls and I get to spend some quality time together!
