We are headed to Disneyland in less than a month! We leave on December 4th and come home on December 9th. I very much wanted to visit DL during the holiday season. It’s been almost 2 decades since I was there for a Christmas celebratio, so I figured it was about time.
It will be our first vacation together as a family of 4! It’s been a long year full of health issues (for me), busy work schedules (for Peter) and we just haven’t had the chance to get away. We were going to go camping during the summer, but we cancelled our trip at the last minute. We are all overdue for some time off to travel together. This will be Ezri’s fourth time to visit Mickey Mouse! 😮 I may have a bit of a obsession with Disney and it may be rubbing off on by daughter. Mwahaha, not a bad thing at all. 😀
I am hoping the plane ride will go well for both Ezri and Jadzia. Ezri hasn’t been on a plane since September of last year, so it will be interesting to see if she can be happy staying in one seat for so long. It will be Jadzia’s first plane ride, of course. She’’ out of the stage where she falls asleep easily in my arms, so I am not sure how successful plane napping will be! I hope I can keep her distracted and entertained for the flight as well. I will bring lots of snacks and toys for both of them.
As usual with vacations with kids, we won’t be go go go. It’s not all about the rides anymore, like it was when it was just Peter and I. We’ll take the time to wait in lines for characters and parades without having to worry about rushing to get on every ride in 1 day. We’ll make sure to hit the hotel for afternoon naps and swim time.
I’m looking forward to trying lots of disney snacks. Usually, we bring our own lunches and snacks because it is a much cheaper way to do things. However, I follow way too many people on Instagram who post so much delicious Disney food. It’s rubbing off and giving me an itch to taste. Haha, I will try to be good though. To be honest, I would rather spend my money on overly priced souvenirs to take home than overly priced food.
THE DISNEY COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN!! YAY.
