I really wish the I had cable television so that I could watch The Tony Awards RIGHT NOW. I am envious of all the people I am following on twitter as they are all tweeting about how great the Tony’s are right now. Oh well. I will watch it on youtube in the next few days. I just know that Neil Patrick Harris is the greatest host ever. Ok, end rant.
I actually have two days off this week!!! AHH. We only have a 3 day class and so I have Thursday & Friday off. They will be my first real days off since I started school at the beginning of May. I’m so excited. I have decided to take a day trip to Edmonton on Thursday. Being as we are only 3 weeks away from Canada Day, the Canadian clothing/stuff is starting to come out in the stores. I have to do some major shopping as most of my clothes are too big for me. West Edmonton Mall will hopefully be stocked full of Canadian goodness. I am going to leave my house at 5AM to drive the 3 hours to Edmonton. That will get me there for about 8AM and I can have breakfast at IHOP!! OMG! So excited. There are only a few IHOPS in Canada and we only have 1 IHOP in Alberta (in Edmonton). I HAVE TO GO. When my mom and I were in Edmonton in March, we were unable to eat there as it was a Sunday and was super busy. DUH. Of course it would be on a Sunday. We wanted to get out and on the road back to Calgary and so we just had McDonald’s instead I was devastated. So I am not going to make any excuses on Thursday. Oh and just in case you didn’t know, IHOP is one of my favourite restaurants as I am a pancake monster.
I think the route that I have been running around my community is shorter than I thought. I have used the same route for months thinking that it was just over 10KM. I use an app called Map My Fitness on my iPhone to use GPS to track my route. Well it initially gave me the 10KM readings. But for the last 5 runs or so, it now gives me an 8½KM route. I haven’t changed where I run AT ALL. So I am thinking that it read the satellites wrong with the 10KM or it’s reading them wrong now with the 8½KM. I just don’t know. It gives me even more reason to bite the bullet and go and buy the GPS Watch that I want. Except…don’t the two devices use the same satellites?! Ugh. I am not expert on GPS or tracking, how am I supposed to know!? Plus, my birthday is less than a month away and I shouldn’t buy an expensive gift like that before my birthday. Maybe I should just stop running all together as I am as sore as a dog right now. Ugh. I did an Iron Reps class on Wednesday and I have been sore ever since. They say it’s a good thing to be sore after weights, but all I want to do is run and the soreness just gets aggravated after. LOL. Really, it won’t stop me. If the sun is shining, I will be running
