Well, my birthday was good, I recieved plenty of great gifts. Peter bought me a 14k gold maple leaf necklace. If you realized from Canada day, Canada stuff is my thing. I own everything Canada. Anything with a maple leaf or CND flag on it, I love. So Peter just made my day. If you look at this, the middle maple leaf is exactly like the one I got SO nice
He sure spoiled me!
I have an inquiry about Harry Potter. Ok, you know how there are half bloods, pure bloods and *excuse my language* mudbloods. So if you mix muds and pures, you get halfs. But what happens in you mix a pure and a half or a mud and a half? Heck, even if you mix two halfs. What do you get? I don’t think they would call it a “double half blood” because that would be too weird. I noticed last night that J.K. Rowling has never mentioned any situation like that!!
What would happen? Does anyone have a theory?
Well, it’s late and I have to work tomorrow *yawns*
I just got home, and I’m late, but Happy Belated Birthday!
I’m curious about the whole blood-thingy in HP as well, hopefully we’ll get an answer in book 6
Aww that’s sweet what Pete got you! Sounds like you got a good birthday! Hm… about the Harry Potter thing… I have been like thinking about that… maybe someone might tell J.K. about it! Who knows! Bye!
Christy — Monday, July 12 @ 5:43 pmAww, Peter must be a gem! I’m glad that you had a good birthday. You deserve it. It’s good to be spoiled. I know I am!!
OK! I’ll try to explain it the way I see it.. LoL. A half is still a witch or wizard.. same for mud… just because of their parentage they’re still such… so their children would be “pure” it’s just snobs like the malfoys who would have a problem with it. Two half blood parents or mud parents are no less magical than two pureblood parents. Then again, that’s just my opinion.
Sorry I wasn’t around to wish you a happy birthday. I’m glad you had fun though. I’d love to start collecting some Canada stuff. I have a fair collection but nothing extensive. I’d love a necklace like that! xo
To answer your HP question, Carolynne: If 2 half-bloods were to mix, their child would be a half blood too! lol. Because, look at it in percents: A half-blood is 50% magic, 50% muggle. Right? Right. And a child is 50% mom, 50% dad, right? Right. So if a child’s parents are both half blood, the child would be 25% magic from mom, 25% muggle from mom, 25% magic from dad, and 25% muggle from dad… making the child 50% magic and 50% muggle! lol. But I have no idea what you would call a child from a half-blood & pureblood… Maybe a quarter blood? Because they would be 75% magic and 25% muggle… that’s 1/4 muggle and 3/4 magic… Er, maybe Three-Quarter bloods? lol. I have no idea. You should try submitting it to JKR’s website: http://www.jkrowling.com It’s a really amazing website.
Erica — Tuesday, July 13 @ 1:44 pmI think they’d still be a Mudblood because they still have a bit of “mud” in them.
Michelle — Tuesday, July 13 @ 1:48 pmOh, and by the way, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! Expect a fansign in your inbox sooner than later.
a 1/4 blood!
you remind me of the people from south carolina, who are OBSESSED with their state flag.. they have the palm tree on everything imagionable.. shoes, purses, belts, socks, decals, etc.. and they get very defensive/upset if someone not from SC has the palm tree decal on their car or something.. lol anywayyy
glad you had a good birthday!!
Aww, what a sweet giftie you got from your sweetie! Glad to hear you had such a great birthday.
Believe me when I say South Carolinans aren’t the only folks obsessed with their own state flag; people from Alabama and Florida are the same way. *lol*
